Zari & Textured

Zari is the fine metallic thread woven into the cloth itself, so the shine is in the weave rather than sitting on top of it; the crushed finish means it never needs pressing. The Malaysian embossed piece takes a different route to the same end, with a raised pattern pressed into the fabric. Both are cut as a cheel. These read as plain from a distance and as something more up close, which is the appeal.
